2. Core Roleplay Rules & Enforcement

General Roleplay Rules

Value of Life (Fear RP)

  • You must always act as if your character's life is precious and irreplaceable.
  • You must comply with demands when a lethal weapon is pointed at you or when outnumbered (3:1) in a high-risk situation, provided the demands are reasonable (e.g., giving up property, not running).
  • Running away or attacking an armed aggressor when you have no clear IC advantage or tactical plan is considered poor Fear RP.

New Life Rule (NLR)

  • If your character dies (respawns at a hospital or is pronounced DOA by EMS/PD), they must forget all recent events leading up to their death (the last 60 minutes).
  • You must not return to the area of your death or interact with the same scenario participants for 30 minutes.
  • Your character retains long-term memory (job, friends, property, skills) but the immediate conflict is forgotten.

Core Violations (Permanent Bans)

  • Metagaming (MG): Using OOC information to gain an IC advantage.
  • Combat Logging: Disconnecting to avoid an RP consequence (jail, death, robbery, paying a fine).
  • Exploiting/Cheating: Using any game bug or external software (e.g., macros, external aim assistance) to gain an unfair advantage.
  • Powergaming (PG): Forcing an action upon another player, or roleplaying unrealistic mechanical abilities (e.g., claiming to tank 20 gunshots).
  • Grave Robbing: Looting a downed or deceased player whom you did not directly engage in combat with.

3. Criminal & Hostile Interaction Rules

Initiation and Combat

Initiation and Random Acts

  • All hostile actions (robbing, kidnapping, attacking) must be preceded by clear, verbal, In-Character initiation. The victim must have a reasonable chance to comply or react.
  • RDM/VDM: Attacking without clear RP justification is forbidden.
  • Hostile Roleplay Limit: You cannot initiate a major hostile scenario (heist, kidnapping, etc.) alone. A minimum of 2 criminals is required.
  • Green Zones: Hostile RP is strictly prohibited in hospital interiors, police station interiors, and official business buildings.

Robberies and Heists

Robbery Rules

  • Same Person Cooldown: You cannot rob the same individual for 60 minutes after the last interaction ended.
  • Store/ATM Robbery: Maximum 2 criminals allowed.
  • Major Heists (Bank/Jewelry/Vault): Requires minimum 3 X-PD officers on duty. Maximum 4 criminals may participate. All participants must wear a mask.
  • Hostage Rules: Maximum concurrent hostages for a major heist is 4. Hostages cannot be friends/affiliates of the criminals, and their RP must be genuine.

Vehicle Crime and Theft

Car Boosting and House Robbery

  • Boosting must involve realistic RP time and tools (IC lockpicking, hotwiring).
  • Do not steal vehicles designated for job use (e.g., EMS, Taxi, PD).
  • If PD intervenes, you must roleplay the chase realistically; do not intentionally drive into Green Zones or intentionally use VDM to escape.
  • House Robbery: Must involve realistic breaking and entering RP. Looting is limited to small, portable items.

4. Department and Whitelisted Job Rules

X-PD (Police Department) Rules

Conduct and Procedure

  • Professionalism: PD must prioritize roleplay procedures and due process over "winning" the scenario.
  • Use of Force: Force must be proportional to the threat and used as a last resort after attempting de-escalation.
  • Accountability: PD officers are accountable for all their actions (documented in an FIR/report). Misconduct is investigated OOC.
  • Lethal Force: PD may only use firearms to counter threats posed by criminals using firearms.

EMS (Emergency Medical Services) Rules

Neutrality and Care

  • Neutrality: EMS are strictly neutral. They cannot carry weapons or participate in any criminal or police activity while on duty.
  • Hostage Limit: EMS cannot be held hostage for more than 15 minutes and must be released safely upon request.
  • Care Priority: Care must be provided to the nearest downed person first, regardless of faction. EMS cannot be forced to neglect an injured person.

Whitelisted Job Rules (Mechanics, Real Estate, etc.)

  • Employees must be In-Character at all times while on the clock and providing service.
  • You may not use job perks (e.g., Mechanic vehicle repair tools, Real Estate keys) to benefit your criminal activities without explicit, severe consequences RP.
  • The business must be roleplayed realistically, including opening/closing hours and appropriate pricing.
